Stor Valley, a regenerative premium farm-led food & drinks brand based in The South Downs National Park, asked GCS to help bring their brand and initial run of products to life.
Response
The name draws from The Stor river that rises from chalk and emerges from springs located on the northern slopes of the South Downs. Finding the intersection between elevated brand and their farm shop roots, the identity focuses on elegant contemporary typography, pastel colour blocks and a unique illustrative style. By using charcoal over rough paper the illustrations are able to communicate a full of life, wholesome yet graceful quality. A range of sparkling fruit juice cans and local honey made up an intial product line for Stor Valley to go to market.
