MICHI
Brief
To create a brand concept for a new all-female hotel based in Nara, Japan. Formed on the former site of Nara Dreamland theme-park its emphasis is on the natural and providing a safe experience to put female travelers at ease.
Response
A journey of self discovery’, Michi is rooted in organic shape and spatial freedom. A bespoke icon set and graphic elements draw on nature’s form while focus is given within layout to the sense of ease that comes with space. To communicate the brand’s trustworthiness a neutral colour palette and transparent TOV are chosen.
